philippe de wootPhilippe de Woot est Docteur en droit et Docteur en Sciences économiques. Il est Professeur émérite de l'Université catholique de Louvain et fut durant plusieurs années Professeur invité à l'INSEAD (Fontainebleau).

Membre de l'Académie Royale de Belgique, de l'Académie Européenne des Sciences et des Arts, et de l'International Academy of Management, Philippe de Woot fut aussi conseiller auprès de la Commission Européenne (1977-1983).

Il est administrateur ou conseiller de plusieurs entreprises nationales ou multinationales. Son domaine de recherche est essentiellement la stratégie des entreprises ainsi que l'éthique et la finalité des entreprises et leurs responsabilités vis à vis de la société globale. Philippe de Woot est conseiller de Globally Responsible Leadership Initiative (GRLI), fondé par l'EFMD (Fondation européenne pour le développement du management) et le Pacte Mondial (Global Compact) des Nations Unies. GRLI soutient activement les principes pour une éducation au management plus responsable, promus notamment par le Pacte Mondial.

Philippe de Woot est l'auteur de nombreux ouvrages techniques mais aussi de réflexion :

Jean Staune Envoyer
jean stauneFondateur et secrétaire général de l'Université Interdisciplinaire de Paris (UIP). Il enseigne en HEC et a contribué à la parution de nombreux ouvrages en tant que responsable de la collection "Le temps des Sciences" aux éditions Fayard. Il organise, en lien avec l'UNESCO des colloques scientifiques sur la science et la quête de sens, auxquels participent une vingtaine de prix Nobel.

La démarche de Jean Staune a pour but d'échapper à « la parcellisation du savoir », conséquence du réductionnisme qui règne dans notre société. Cela l'a conduit à être diplômé en mathématiques, informatique, paléontologie, sciences politiques et management puis à fonder l'UIP. Cette démarche part de l'analyse objective de l'évolution de nos connaissances scientifiques pour en tirer des conclusions concernant des domaines aussi divers que le management, l'histoire des sociétés, ou la théologie.

Penseur original dont le champ de compétences se situe au carrefour de la science, du management, de la philosophie et de la religion, Jean Staune est au centre de nombreux débats et polémiques concernant entre autres la nature de la science et les mécanismes de l'évolution.

 
Theodore Roosevelt Malloch Envoyer
Theodore Roosevelt Malloch is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Roosevelt Group, a leading strategic management and thought leadership company. He has served on the executive board of the World Economic Forum, which hosts the renowned yearly Davos meeting in Switzerland, as well holding an ambassadorial level position in the United Nations in Geneva (1989-91).

Ted has been a Senior Fellow of The Aspen Institute, where he previously directed all of its national seminars. He was also, President of the World Economic Development Congress that focused on "Building the Integrated Global Economy" attended by 2500 international CEOs, Ministers of Governments, investment, and economic leaders. At that meeting Margaret Thatcher dubbed him, "a global Sherpa".

An accomplished author, he serves on several corporate and not-for-profit/educational boards, including Yale Divinity School, University of Toronto International Governing Council, a Pew Charitable Trust board, International Center for Religion and Diplomacy, Templeton Foundation, and The Perry Institute of Marine Science. He recently co-founded and is Chairman of the new, Spiritual Enterprise Institute.

Ted Roosevelt is President Teddy Roosevelt's great-grandson.

Guido Palazzo Envoyer

Guido Palazzo is Professor of Business Ethics at HEC, University of Lausanne (since 2003).

He studied business administration at the University of Bamberg/Germany and holds a PhD in political philosophy from the University of Marburg/Germany (1999). Between 2000 and 2003 he worked as a strategy consultant in a Swiss consulting company.

Guido Palazzo teaches master students at HEC Lausanne, MBA students at the Universities of Lausanne, Fribourg and Nottingham and executives of leading German and Swiss corporations in the areas of business ethics and CSR. He is responsible for the ethics programme at the Corporate University of Volkswagen in Germany.

His research is focusing on CSR, multistakeholder governance, branding theory and organizational ethics. His work is published in world-leading management journals. He was shortlisted for the prestigious Carol Dexter Best International Paper Award 2005 at the Academy of Management conference in Honolulu.

Guido Palazzo consults on business ethics, CSR and brand management at companies such as Volkswagen, HP, Baloise, eplus, Deutsche Telekom, and works with NGOs such as Amnesty International and SOS Child Village.

Michael Naughton Envoyer

Michael Naughton is a professor of physics at Boston College and the University's interim associate vice president for research.

He addresses an audience in Robsham Theater during Parents' Weekend 2005 about the sciences at Boston College-briefly highlighting his own recently patented work in nanotechnology-and discusses research opportunities for undergraduates at the University.

The panel is introduced by Bob Steinkrauss, a member of the Parents' Leadership Council executive committee, and Parents' Weekend cochair with his wife, Louise.
